However, their operational parameters could be modified, as evidenced by the incident at the Peragus Mining Facility, where they were reprogrammed to immobilize organic life forms. HK-50 was the one who altered their programming at Peragus, with the intent of stopping miners from apprehending the Jedi Exile.
