B6, also known as Beesix, was a droid constructed by Mala Mala to serve as both a companion and a helper. When Mala, along with Fordee and a team of fellow bounty hunters (such as Brazzo and Selle), convened at a Centares spaceport to determine if Ban Papeega could extract the name of the pilot responsible for destroying the initial Death Star from Thurlow Harris, she abandoned him there on Centares. Vader's forces pursued Mala after she found out the pilot's identity was Luke Skywalker. B-6 saved Mala after she leaped off a cliff, bringing her back to her spacecraft. They escaped to Coruscant, but an Imperial patrol shot them down. The crash rendered B-6 irreparable, but Mala repurposed his components to create a trap to stall the stormtroopers searching for them.
