DG-1B catering droid
The DG-1B catering droid, alternatively called the baker droid, was a type of service droid designed with the purpose of providing catering services at social events. During the period of the Clone Wars, Senator Padmé Amidala of the Galactic Republic utilized a baker droid to assist in the creation of a jogan fruitcake for an event she was hosting to honor Senator Aang. Given that the cake still required its jogan fruit topping, Amidala sent her droids out to acquire some. As the gathering commenced prior to their return with the jogans, the baker droid inquired about their intended course of action.
These droids possessed blue sensors, masculine programming, and were equipped with a white apron.
Behind the scenes

The baker droid made its debut in "Evil Plans," the eighth installment within the animated television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars' third season, which was broadcast on November 5, 2010. The voice of the baker droid in this episode was provided by the renowned chef Duff Goldman, known for his television program Ace of Cakes. Previously, the show had dedicated an episode to the creation of an R2-D2 cake for the wrap party of The Clone Wars' second season. During his visit to Lucasfilm, Goldman was invited to lend his voice to the baker droid in "Evil Plans." The droid's design bears resemblance to the 2-1B surgical droid.
