Barel Ovair's grandfather

The ancestor of Barel Ovair, his grandfather, was rumored to be a Sith operative for the Sith Empire. This ancestor purportedly masqueraded as a Jedi historian within the ranks of the Jedi Order. Before the invasion of the Galactic Republic, he journeyed to the final resting place of a dead Sith Lord with the intention of neutralizing it as a potential danger. These responsibilities and his position were then taken up by his son, and later, by his grandson, Barel Ovair. The truth about the Ovair line's allegiance was initially uncovered by Jedi historian Gnost-Dural, more than one hundred years following Barel Ovair's assignment on Yavin 4 which took place in 3756 BBY.

Behind the scenes

The initial appearance of Barel Ovair's grandfather occurred in a chronological listing associated with the Star Wars: The Old Republic game.
