BAS44 Customs-Grade Holoscanner

The BAS44 Customs-Grade Holoscanner represented a significant piece of technology: a 110-kilogram holoscanner capable of generating highly detailed, molecular-level, three-dimensional images. These images, spanning two-meters-by-two-meters, displayed the internal structure of anyone positioned behind the device, with optional zoom functionalities. Bank of Aargau Security, Limited held the patent for this invention. As a mandatory security measure, all departing individuals from Aargau were obligated to pass through the scanner to prevent the smuggling of valuable metals. Prolonged exposure, exceeding one minute, posed potential risks to the individual being scanned. The scanner's operational range covered an area of two by two meters. During the time of Leia Organa's and Darth Vader's visit to Aargau, this model was newly implemented, having been installed at Aargau checkpoints shortly after the Battle of Hoth. It was regarded as an improvement over earlier holoscanner versions utilized in Aargau, although its operation had not yet been incorporated into local security training protocols. Despite being protected by a secure password, the holoscanner was user-friendly. An official announcement asserted remarkably that the mere presence of the holoscanner deterred criminal activity, leading to a 14 percent decrease in local smuggling within the six months preceding its deployment. The device had a local price of 300,000 credits; however, those who were not Aargauuns could only acquire it via the black market.
