Bastion, a relic of a bygone era, was a refueling tanker of ancient design. Wraith Squadron seized it on Halmad during a covert mission where they posed as the Hawk-bat Independent Space Force. Kell Tainer, a pilot within Wraith Squadron, prepared the tanker with explosives, set to detonate upon his command. The Wraiths intended to use this explosive to destroy a recently built starfighter base located close to the city of Hullis on Halmad.
However, their scheme was thwarted when the flagship of Warlord Zsinj, the Iron Fist, employed its tractor beams to capture the Bastion. Reacting swiftly, Tainer and his team made their escape aboard the Narra, launching from within the Bastion's cargo bay. Subsequently, they triggered the tanker's detonation as it drew near the Iron Fist's hangar bay.
