Atherna, the Battle Droid, represented an early attempt at creating an assault battle droid by the Eternal Empire from Zakuul. In the year 3630 BBY, this droid was tasked with defending a Knights of Zakuul forward operating base that was under siege by Havoc Squad; however, it met its end at the hands of Aric Jorgan and The Commander.
