The Conflict within the Dellalt system represented an assault by the Rebellion targeting a Galactic Empire convoy located in the Dellalt system. During this operation, the Rebels came to learn of a new initiative from the Emperor designed to suppress the Alliance: Operation Strike Fear.
The mission involved a swift attack on a Galactic Empire convoy consisting of five BFF-1 bulk freighters as they departed the Dellalt system. Lieutenant Keyan Farlander (Red Two), serving as wingman to Lieutenant Hamo Blastwell (Red Leader), participated in this engagement.
Y-wings from Blue Squadron initiated the attack on the Bixby, while X-wings of Red Squadron were deployed to eliminate the transports. The Dagger was tasked with eventually boarding the corvette.
The engagement yielded an unexpected advantage when Blue Squadron communicated that the Corvette's crew desired to defect. While Blue Squadron's Y-wings provided cover for the defection of the Bixby, Blastwell and Farlander successfully destroyed the entire convoy.
The Imperial EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate, named Gorgon, arrived on the scene too late to hinder the now-captured vessel from returning with the Alliance team.
Captain Nogdra, the commander of the Bixby, disclosed that the Empire was formulating a significant offensive known as Operation Strike Fear, set to commence in the Dellalt system. Farlander was chosen to undertake a reconnaissance mission within that system.
Shortly following the capture of the Bixby, Blastwell received a promotion to the rank of captain.
