NFOp-TbM-11891: Operation Strike Fear, more commonly known as Operation Strike Fear, designated a significant Imperial military endeavor. This operation was a direct response by the Galactic Empire to their defeat suffered during the Battle of Turkana. The concept and execution were spearheaded by then-Captain Firmus Piett, who also advocated for the removal of Captain Xamuel Lennox from his position overseeing naval activities within the Pakuuni sector due to the Turkana debacle.
The primary aim of the operation was to crush Rebel resistance within the Tion Hegemony and instill widespread fear of the Emperor's might. A possible secondary goal was to divert the Rebellion's attention while the Empire secretly finalized the construction of the Death Star. The operation was commanded from the Imperial-class Star Destroyer known as the Invincible.
News of the operation reached the Rebel Alliance when Captain Nogdra, commanding the Imperial Corvette Bixby, defected from Imperial service. Alarmed by this intelligence, Rebel Fleet Command dispatched Keyan Farlander, a pilot, in a newly upgraded R-22 Spearhead interceptor on a reconnaissance mission to the designated sector. During this mission, Farlander discovered a concentration of Imperial Naval fleet vessels assembling within the Dellalt system.
Operation Strike Fear was initiated as an Imperial suppression effort within the Dellalt system due to the significant Rebel presence in the Tion Hegemony. Following the successful destruction of the Rebel base located on Brigia, the operation expanded to encompass the entire sector. Anticipating the Brigian base as the Empire's primary target, Alliance High Command issued orders for its immediate evacuation. Despite suffering substantial casualties, the majority of Rebel personnel stationed there managed to escape.
Subsequently, Keyan Farlander, a Rebel Alliance starfighter pilot, captured the Juno supply freighter group en route to the Invincible, thus temporarily disrupting Operation Strike Fear for a period of several weeks. Upon the resumption of Strike Fear, its subsequent targets included Rudrig and Orion IV, both of which were successfully secured by the Empire.

Following this period of success, Imperial Naval Command formulated new, specialized objectives targeting rebellious strongholds and systems as part of the ongoing Operation Strike Fear. The subsequent operation focused on Sullust, where Sullustan resistance leaders had overthrown SoroSuub, a puppet government aligned with the Empire. The decision was made to abduct and 'recondition' the rebellious new government before initiating a full-scale military assault. As the rebels were compelled to withdraw from the Tion Hegemony Sector and an Imperial garrison force was required to be stationed at secured worlds, a newly formed, reduced battle group was specifically assembled for this mission under the Command Flagship Invincible, which promptly resumed operations within Sullustan Space. Once Sullustan leaders and technical personnel were taken, preparations were made for their removal using several transports departing from Sullust to the Nebulon-B frigates Warspite and Negra Star. These frigates were tasked with transporting the captives to Coruscant for interrogation, torture, reconditioning, and eventual servitude to the Empire.
Upon discovering the Imperial scheme, Alliance High Command, hoping to gain the allegiance of the Sullustans and recognizing that the abduction was a prelude to a large-scale invasion, swiftly organized a daring rescue mission. Concerned that a large deployment of ships would prompt the Imperials to execute the prisoners, they assembled a commando team supported by a single Y-wing, piloted by Keyan Farlander. Farlander identified the specific transports carrying the Sullustans and disabled them. Subsequently, Farlander engaged multiple waves of TIE fighters launched from the nearby frigates while Rebel transports rescued the prisoners.
Following the rescue, the Sullustans leaders were persuaded to engage in diplomatic negotiations to consider joining the Rebel Alliance. The two factions convened for a meeting near Sullust, which was interrupted by the arrival of the Invincible. Flying R-22 Spearheads, Hamo Blastwell and Keyan Farlander defended against the Imperial fighters, allowing the meeting to conclude and all ships to escape into hyperspace. However, the Invincible's attack proved to be a diversion. While the meeting transpired, stormtroopers abducted the Sullustan leader Sian Tevv. Farlander and Blastwell were once again called into action, this time to disable the Lambda-class T-4a shuttle transporting Tevv to the Invincible, and to hold off Imperial fighters until a Rebel shuttle executed a boarding operation and escaped into hyperspace.

Crix Madine, an Imperial officer sympathetic to the Alliance, collaborated with the rescued Sullustan technical staff to devise a strategy to end the Imperial operation by destroying the Invincible. This plan entailed the abduction of Cygnus Spaceworks technical personnel and the acquisition of a powerful warhead. Intelligence indicated that Cygnus was conducting tests on a new spacecraft, the Alpha-class Xg-1 Star Wing, and the Rebels intended to capture the technicians during the test. Keyan Farlander and Sunnar Jan-lo piloted R-22s to locate the transport carrying the technicians and subsequently engaged Imperial fighters while the transport Lightning executed a boarding operation. Farlander then destroyed the test facility before departing.
The Rebels soon learned of a new warhead being transported from Celanon to a deep space transfer zone aboard the BFF-1 bulk freighter Gafra and planned to intercept it at its destination. An initial Rebel attack damaged the Gafra, leaving it stranded before the Rebels withdrew. However, the freighter remained protected by a minefield. Keyan Farlander, flying a Y-wing, cleared the mines and disabled the freighter. Following this, the shuttle Herald boarded the freighter. Imperial transports arrived and attempted to destroy the freighter before it could fall into enemy hands, but Farlander successfully repelled them.

Using a Lambda-class shuttle, modified by the captive Cygnus staff to resemble an Imperial vessel, Rebel agents disguised as cargo suppliers successfully planted the warhead aboard the Invincible and detonated it from within, effectively ending Operation Strike Fear.
