During the Galactic Civil War, the Rebel Alliance utilized the Lambda-class T-4a shuttle known as the Herald.
To execute Operation Strike Fear, Crix Madine and recently recruited Sullustan technicians within the Alliance devised a strategy necessitating a warhead to obliterate the Imperial-class Star Destroyer called the Invincible. The Rebels discovered a new warhead was being transported from Celanon to a remote transfer point aboard the BFF-1 bulk freighter Gafra, leading them to plan an assault at its final destination.
Following an opening Rebel strike, the Gafra sustained damage and became marooned, prompting the Rebel forces to retreat. Despite this, a protective field of mines still surrounded the freighter. Keyan Farlander, piloting a Y-wing, successfully cleared the mines and incapacitated the freighter. Subsequently, the Herald arrived to board the disabled vessel. Imperial transports then appeared, attempting to eliminate the freighter before it could be captured by the Rebels, but Farlander successfully repelled their efforts.
Assisted by kidnapped Cygnus Corp personnel, the warhead was transported to the Invincible via a shuttle disguised as an Imperial vessel. This resulted in the Star Destroyer's internal destruction.
