In the concluding year of the Clone Wars, a confrontation unfolded on the world of Bomis Koori IV. This planet, controlled by the Corporate Alliance, was under the command of General Oro Dassyne, a member of the Confederacy. He oversaw the planet from a fort protected by a ray shield. To seize the planet, the Galactic Republic dispatched a squadron of eight Venator-class Star Destroyers, commanded by Master Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Knight Jedi Anakin Skywalker. Expecting a large Jedi assault on his weapon-filled fort, Dassyne instead saw several Star Destroyers approaching. After ARC-170 starfighters launched from the Star Destroyers and began attacking Dassyne's forces, Skywalker and Kenobi infiltrated the fort, disabling the protective ray shield and leaving it open to attack. The Republic squadron then focused its firepower on the facility, resulting in Dassyne's demise during the subsequent battle.
The world of Bomis Koori IV held significance for the Corporate Alliance's defense of nearby systems. After being stationed on Bomis Koori IV at some point during the Clone Wars, Confederate General Oro Dassyne, who was also an Alliance member, amplified the defensive weaponry within a ray shielded fort he maintained there. In 19 BBY, Dassyne anticipated that the Galactic Republic would deploy a force of Jedi to strike his fortified fort. However, unbeknownst to Dassyne, the Republic had dispatched a fleet of eight Venator-class Star Destroyers, under the command of General Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and General Anakin Skywalker, to capture Bomis Koori IV. Without alerting Dassyne's forces, Kenobi and Skywalker landed on the planet, each riding different creatures, and advanced toward Dassyne's fort, while the Star Destroyers descended upon the fort from the planet's sky.
A B1-series battle droid inside Dassyne's fort noticed Kenobi and Skywalker approaching and alerted Dassyne, who was surprised to only see two Jedi Knights. As the Venator-class Star Destroyers descended from the planet's sky, ARC-170 starfighters were launched from the cruisers and began firing upon Dassyne's forces. After dismounting their creatures, Kenobi and Skywalker swiftly dealt with B2 super battle droids using their lightsabers.
Despite Dassyne's confidence in his fort's defenses, Kenobi and Skywalker bypassed the fort's weapon emplacements and infiltrated the facility. Once inside, the Jedi deactivated the structure's ray shield, leaving the fortress and all within vulnerable to attack. The ARC-170s, along with the Star Destroyers, focused their firepower on the weakened fort, leading to Dassyne's passing.
