Battle of Corbos

The conflict known as the Battle of Corbos, alternatively referred to as the Rout of Corbos, involved combatants from both the Jedi Order and the Dark Jedi. This encounter marked the concluding engagement of the Hundred-Year Darkness.

The battle

After almost one hundred years of conflict, the Jedi and their Dark Jedi adversaries engaged in a decisive confrontation on Corbos, a planet known for its mining operations. Ajunta Pall, who commanded the Dark Jedi forces, is said to have personally killed over twelve Jedi before the Dark Jedi ultimately faced defeat as the battle concluded. Karness Muur was also a participant in the battle, and he was among the small number of Dark Jedi who lived through it.

Aftermath

The Dark Jedi survivors were banished to unexplored regions of space, and during their exile they came across Korriban, which was the native world of the primitive, yet remarkably Force-sensitive Sith species. By employing their knowledge of the Force, these exiled Jedi impressed the Sith natives, thus raising their own status to that of deities on Korriban and Ziost, where they established themselves as the ruling class over the Sith population. Over time, as the fallen Jedi and the Sith intermixed, the designation "Sith" evolved to encompass both the original inhabitants of Korriban and Ziost, as well as their Dark Jedi overlords.
