Battle of Ebenmal

A skirmish transpired on the planetoid of Ebenmal within the temporal window spanning 2 BBY and 1 BBY years. Eighty-five jumptroopers representing the Imperials launched an assault against the Citadel of Ebenmal. The ancient structure was defended by over three thousand Rebel soldiers, yet the Imperials managed to secure a strategic advantage, leading to the Citadel's capture. Consequently, the Rebels conceded defeat to the Jumptroopers, concluding the engagement within a single hour's time.

The battle

A conflict unfolded between the Alliance to Restore the Republic and the Galactic Empire at the Citadel of Ebenmal situated on the planetoid Ebenmal, occurring sometime between 2 BBY and 1 BBY years. Eighty-five prototype Imperial jumptroopers disembarked unnoticed from a stratospheric freighter in the early morning. These troopers then initiated an attack on the Citadel of Ebenmal, targeting the communications tower, rear ammo dumps, fuel supplies, and ultimately, the hangars. Despite the efforts of over three thousand Rebel soldiers defending the Citadel to thwart them on multiple times during the confrontation, the Imperial jumptroopers utilized their jetpacks to evade the Rebels in the air.

Despite its reputation for withstanding invasions for over ten thousand years, the Citadel of Ebenmal fell to the Empire by the end of the one-hour battle. Furthermore, more than three thousand Rebels surrendered to the Imperials. This engagement, along with other related details, was later documented by the military historian Chen Ming-di in Imperial Atrocities and Other Noble Pursuits.
