During the final months of the Cold War, a Republic fleet, accompanied by a substantial contingent of Talon-class starfighters, appeared above Nez Peron, an agricultural Sith planet, with the goal of seizing control. They swiftly overwhelmed the defending Imperial starships. Nevertheless, starfighters belonging to the elite Imperial Empire's Fury squadron quickly intervened to support the beleaguered Imperial destroyers, leading to an engagement with the Republic vessels within Nez Peron's atmosphere. The Emperor's Fury fighters caused significant losses among the Talons, which ultimately led to the main Republic fleet's decision to withdraw from the system.
