The clash at Sullust, a part of the Great Galactic War, saw the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic in combat. Nok Drayen, a criminal, turned against the Republic troops on the planet, siding with the Empire; this led to the capture of the renowned Jedi, Ako Domi, and other Republic fighters. These prisoners were then confined within the prison sector of Shadow Town on Nar Shaddaa throughout the Cold War. Long after the fighting, scavengers continued to arrive, seeking to benefit from the aftermath.
