Battle of Yag'Dhul (Bacta War)

A significant conflict unfolded at Yag'Dhul during the period known as the Bacta War. This confrontation saw Rogue Squadron clash with the forces of the Xucphra Corporation, commanded by their Chief Operating Officer, Ysanne Isard. The Rogues initiated this battle concurrently with the Battle of Thyferra, an event that ultimately signaled the conclusion of the Bacta War.

Wedge Antilles and Tycho Celchu, leading Rogue Squadron, aimed to directly engage Isard's superior military strength on Thyferra. After uncovering Talon Karrde's associate, Melina Carniss, as an Isard operative, Rogue Squadron intentionally allowed her to relay the location of their base on Yag'Dhul to Isard. Isard promptly dispatched the Lusankya and the Virulence with orders to obliterate the space station. Just as the Lusankya was arriving, Rogue Squadron jumped to hyperspace from the system's edge, setting course for Thyferra.

Captain Joak Drysso, in command of the Lusankya, deployed his starfighters and readied to destroy the station. Booster Terrik, overseeing the station's defenses, ensnared the Lusankya using a gravity well projector coupled with the station's powerful tractor beams. He then locked over three hundred proton torpedo targeting systems onto the capital ship. While the actual launch systems were secretly mounted on freighters, this deception gave Drysso reason to hesitate. At that crucial moment, the Virulence positioned itself between the Lusankya and the station, disrupting the target locks. Drysso then gave the order for his ship to immediately disengage and retreat to Thyferra, abandoning its fighters.

Unexpectedly, and without planning by either Booster or Wedge, Pash Cracken's Ace Squadron arrived, reinforcing the impression that the New Republic had laid a trap. The Virulence's captain, Lakwii Varrscha, promptly surrendered. With this single action, the Rogue forces had not only stripped the Lusankya of its fighter support but also deprived Isard of her last Imperial II-class Star Destroyer. The Rogues were also successful in the Battle of Thyferra, bringing the Bacta War to a close.
