Benjamin Caron

Benjamin Caron served as the director for three episodes of Andor Season 1: specifically, the seventh, eleventh, and twelfth installments. Tony Gilroy, who was both the executive producer and a writer, stated that each director was given a preparation period of three to four months, followed by a 55-day shooting schedule. Denise Gough, the performer of Dedra Meero, revealed that Caron was instrumental in establishing her character's portrayal. In the scene where Meero subjects Bix Caleen to torture, Caron guided Gough to avoid dramatic flourishes and instead attempt the scene with her hands restrained behind her back. Gough expressed to Caron her difficulty in delivering the line about needing a Multi-Sector Data Blend spanning two years. Although Gilroy hoped to have Caron return for Season 2, Caron declined due to his commitment to the film Sharper.
