The concluding episode, titled "Rix Road," marks the end of the first season of the television show Andor. This episode was brought to life by director Benjamin Caron and writer Tony Gilroy.
The episode starts with Wilmon Paak working on machinery at the Repaak Salyard, which belonged to his deceased father, Salman Paak. Concurrently, ISB Supervisor Dedra Meero arrives at Ferrix's spaceport aboard a Lambda-class shuttle, accompanied by two Death troopers. Stormtroopers are stationed to guard the spaceport and Caleen Salyard. Meanwhile, Bix Caleen is filled with anticipation within her confinement.
Captain Vanis Tigo greets Meero and informs her that dinner is prepared. However, Meero opts to inspect the streets accompanied by Corv as her security. Wilmon is seen continuing his work on a machine, consulting a hologram of his late father, Salman. Elsewhere, Xanwan informs Brasso about Cassian Jeron Andor's return to Ferrix for his mother Maarva Andor's funeral. Brasso instructs him to keep this information confidential.
Meero and Corv, in disguise, navigate the streets of Ferrix, while Wilmon continues to assemble his machine. Nurchi speaks with Xanwan regarding Maarva's death and its impact on Andor, both agreeing to keep their conversation private.
On Coruscant, Mon Mothma confronts her husband, Perrin Fertha, about his gambling habits inside their airspeeder. Mothma asks the driver, Exmar Kloris, to leave them alone. Mothma suggests Fertha move his gambling activities to Canto Bight. Fertha becomes defensive, denying any gambling problem. He suggests that attempts to discredit Mothma involve targeting him and implies that those revealing his gambling are aware of her secret activities, questioning the source of his funds. Mothma states that this is her primary concern. Fertha accuses someone of lying to her, a sentiment Mothma shares. Kloris attentively eavesdrops on their conversation.
Returning to Ferrix, Vel Sartha meets with Cinta Kaz. Kaz warns Sartha about being monitored by an ISB operative and Meero's arrival, suspecting a trap for Andor. Sartha acknowledges the situation and emphasizes the need to act swiftly. Sartha tells Kaz to move away from the window. Andor wanders the streets of Ferrix, touching an inscription and recalling his adoptive father Clem Andor's words about the "man who sees everything is more blessed than cursed."
Andor remembers his father teaching him to wash and reuse old machines to save money. Andor enters Caleen's scrapyard and is confronted by canine creatures. He is discovered by Pegla, an old friend who reveals that Caleen has been captured by the Empire.
While Caleen is imprisoned, Andor contemplates Karis Nemik's manifesto, which talks about freedom being a source of strength when the struggle seems impossible. Nemik talks about countless cells engaging in acts of resistance across the galaxy without realizing that they have enlisted in the cause. He talks about diverse rebel cells being part of a galactic struggle. The Imperial need for control is unnatural since tyranny requires constant effort. Authority is brittle and oppression is the mask of fear. He talks about the small skirmishes and battles swelling into a bigger tide that will overwhelm the Galactic Empire. One single thing will break the siege.
Tigo informs Meero that Imperial forces have reduced air traffic, uniform patrols, and relaxed curfew, indicating the trap is set. When Meero asks when is the funeral, Tigo says that the Empire has delayed the funeral for two hours after lunch. After negotiations with the Daughters of Ferrix, they assigned half of Rix Road for the funeral and allowed a maximum of forty people to attend.
Another Imperial officer explains to Meero that the Daughters of Ferrix are a social club and that Maarva served as a president. Merzin Keysax dismisses them as a nonsense and says that they will have snipers and local containment units stationed nearby. Meero rules out the use of snipers since she wants Andor to be taken alive. Sartha walks past an Imperial speeder manned by an Imperial Army trooper carrying two stormtrooper snipers.
Elsewhere, ISB officers Blevin and Exmar Kloris analyze an audio recording of Mothma and Fertha's discussion about gambling. Blevin believes Fertha's gambling can be used against Mothma, while Kloris notes Fertha's past gambling. Blevin mentions Mothma's recent financial activities. Lagret informs his comrades that they are missing news of the successful operation against Anto Kreegyr. Blevin leaves to join the briefing but Kloris stays behind.
Major Lio Partagaz announces that Kreegyr's entire team was killed, closing the case. Meero, communicating remotely, dissents, but Partagaz explains that eliminating Kreegyr's cell was to please the Emperor after the Aldhani heist. When Meero says that they need prisoners for intelligence gathering purposes, Partagaz tells her to capture the elusive "Axis".
Rael disembarks from his Fondor Haulcraft and uses a speeder bike on Ferrix's terrain. Corv realizes he is following the wrong person. Pegla helps Andor meet Brasso in a tunnel, where Andor expresses regret for leaving Caleen. Brasso delivers Maarva's message, describing Andor as the "first spark" and an "unstoppable force for good," also conveying her love.
Pegla watches for Andor, signaling when the street is clear, while Brasso reveals Caleen is held at the hotel, possibly kept alive for a reason. Andor resolves to rescue her. Brasso will manage the funeral while Andor saves Caleen. Meanwhile, Syril Karn and Linus Mosk, disguised, travel on a hoverbus towards Gavalox Communications.
Andor emerges from hiding as stormtroopers patrol. Sartha meets Rael, discussing Meero. Rael reveals plans to assassinate Andor and tasks Sartha with contacting Kaz, who is monitoring the Andor residence. The "Time Grappler" signals the funeral's start. Musicians play as the Daughters of Ferrix prepare. Meero inquires about the events.
While Rael moves through the streets, Karn and Mosk travel in disguise. Musicians lead the funeral procession. Wilmon joins, carrying an object. Sartha, Kaz, and Corv navigate the crowd as an Imperial officer orders his troops to clear the streets. Andor spots Rael while hiding in an attic. Meanwhile, Caleen watches the procession from her cell.
Nurchi meets Corv, negotiating payment for spying. Corv agrees to smuggle him out, staging a fight to maintain Nurchi's cover. At the hotel, Meero insists Andor be captured alive. As a crowd gathers, Imperial troops confront the procession. B2EMO leads the march. With Corv and Death troopers pursuing, Andor escapes into a sewer leading to the hotel kitchen.
Imperial forces observe as attendees chant "stone and sky." Andor, holding a cook at gunpoint, asks for Caleen's location. The cook provides directions and offers condolences for Maarva. B2EMO plays a holorecording of Maarva, who describes touching a funeral stone as a child and being inspired by the dead. She urges Ferrix to continue, stating that its people have been sleeping and ignoring the growing darkness in the galaxy. She calls the Empire a disease thriving in darkness and urges them to fight.
Captain Tigo overturns B2EMO, inciting the crowd to attack Imperial troops. Brasso knocks out Tigo with a brick containing Maarva's remains. Andor navigates the hotel, subduing a soldier. As the crowd battles the Imperial troops, an officer orders the "Time Grappler" shot. Andor finds Caleen and encourages her to leave.
Meero is confronted by protesters. Wilmon throws his improvised bomb at a vehicle carrying explosives, scattering the crowd and the Imperial soldiers; he is detained by a pair of Imperial stormtroopers, but is rescued by Brasso, who leads him to safety. Now behind the defensive formation, Captain Tigo issues orders to open fire on the crowd as the protest descends into a skirmish. Stormtroopers open fire on civilians and protesters, killing several. Corv finds Kaz in the streets but she stabs and kills him. Pegla evacuates B2EMO from the streets while stormtroopers use laser turrets to open fire on the crowd.
Andor escorts Caleen from the damaged hotel, passing an unconscious Nurchi. A stormtrooper attempts to stop the Time Grappler, who throws him off the tower. Meero is attacked but saved by Syril Karn, who hides her in a storeroom. Meero reluctantly thanks Karn. Rael observes the uprising. Kaz reunites with Sartha, who notices the blood on her but she notes that it is not her blood.
Pegla and Brasso prepare a ship for departure, joined by Andor and Caleen. Andor persuades them to evacuate Caleen and advises them on escaping Ferrix. Andor bids B2EMO, Bix, Pegla, and Wilmon farewell and promises to find them. While the ship flies away, Andor heads back to the Ferrix town center. A despondent Mosk sits by a street corner. Meanwhile, Mothma and Fertha introduce their daughter Leida Mothma to Stekan Sculdun and his mother Runai Sculdun.
Rael boards his Fondor Haulcraft and prepares for departure. Andor confronts him, asking if he came to kill him and handing him a blaster. Rael asks what game is this. Andor says this is no game and dares Rael to kill him or take him in. Rael smiles and decides to recruit Andor.

On Scarif, Imperial construction droids are assembling components manufactured by the Narkina 5 prisoners for the main part of the Death Star, while TIE fighters fly overhead.
