Gavalox Communications

Gavalox Communications, situated on Rix Road on the planet Ferrix, functioned as a subspace communication hub. This center provided public comlink stations, allowing individuals to utilize comlink booths by inserting credits. Open around the clock, the comm center advertised "multi-network access" and "pay as you go" services. Displayed on the comm center's signage was the business's name in Aurebesh at the top and Bazeese script at the bottom. Furthermore, the business's name was inscribed in Bazeese on a street lamp, with two lines of text encircling it, each line exhibiting a different color tone.

The communication center's location was in proximity to Ferrix Depot, Hotel Rix, and a store selling chairs.

During 5 BBY, Timm Karlo visited the comm center to anonymously report Cassian Andor, who was being sought by the Pre-Mor Security Inspection team for questioning. Each booth featured a sizable comlink equipped with various buttons and a green monitor displaying "INSERT CREDIT" in Aurebesh, accompanied by the credit symbol below. After Karlo manipulated several buttons, the message "COM LINK D_[obscured]_T" appeared.

Behind the scenes

The creation of Gavalox Communications was specifically for the television program Andor. Barry Gingell, a graphic designer involved in the series, verified via Twitter that the writing underneath the Aurebesh name on the sign represented a newly designed alphabet for the show; however, he couldn't disclose its name. The script's name was later revealed as Bazeese script in the episode guide for the episode "Rix Road."
