Rix Road served as a primary thoroughfare within the Ferrix business center. Originating at the intersection of two smaller streets in Ferrix City, directly beneath the Ferrix bell tower, it stretched past a large hotel and terminated at Fountain Square. This square was the location where funeral rites for respected citizens took place, with their concluding words being broadcast during the "Stone to the Sky" ritual. During the initial years of the Imperial Era, an anti-Imperial protest unfolded on this very street as clone troopers paraded through the settlement. Subsequent to the protest, the Galactic Empire also utilized it as a site for executions by hanging, including the execution of Clem Andor in 18 BBY. The practice persisted in 5 BBY, with Captain Vanis Tigo giving the order for Salman Paak to be publicly executed in this manner. Three days subsequently, during the memorial service for Maarva Carassi Andor, Tigo disrupted her concluding message because of its anti-Imperial sentiments, thereby igniting a fierce reaction from the Daughters of Ferrix who were present and setting off a massive riot.
The existence of Rix Road was initially revealed in an official clip featured in Andor: A Disney+ Day Special Look. This documentary, which explored the production of the Andor television program, debuted on Disney+ on September 8, 2022.
