Brasso was a male human, a longtime resident of the Free Trade Sector planet of Ferrix, where he worked as both a Grappler and a member of the Honor guard. He maintained a strong friendship with Cassian Andor, consistently assisting him in overcoming the consequences of his ill-advised escapades and questionable arrangements, while also looking after his mother and her droid during his extended periods away.
During the Galactic Empire's reign, Brasso, a male human, lived on the planet Ferrix. He made a living as a Grappler, disassembling old starships at the local salvage yard. In 5 BBY, his good friend Cassian Andor had been absent from Ferrix for a while, having departed on a borrowed spacecraft. His mother, Maarva, was under the impression that he was out damaging his health and character with disreputable companions, which prompted Brasso to search for him.

Later that same morning, Andor came back from a confrontation with Pre-Mor officers on Morlana One that resulted in two murders, though Brasso was unaware of this. Andor, visibly injured, encountered Brasso outside his place of employment and asked him to fabricate an alibi for the previous night. Andor concocted a story, stating that they had planned to go out for drinks, but after Andor turned down Brasso's suggestion to visit Cavo's, they consumed nog at Brasso's residence before falling asleep. Instead of questioning the story, Brasso elaborated on it, inventing a tale of how they had sustained injuries while intoxicated at his home, providing a cover for Andor's wounds. He then departed for work shortly thereafter.
When a Pre-Mor Enforcement squad of officers appeared to take Andor into custody for the two homicides he had perpetrated, Brasso acted quickly. He sabotaged their Mobile Tac-Pod, which was left unattended, by securing it to a sizable piece of wreckage with a metal chain. As the officers engaged with Andor and Luthen Rael, whom Andor had contacted to sell a stolen Imperial N-S9 Starpath Unit, one Corpo, identified as North-3, attempted to get the transport airborne. Brasso's sabotage caused the ship to crash, resulting in the officer's death when the attached debris became entangled in a nearby structure. With blood on his hands and Andor having escaped with Rael, Brasso went back to the local bar and drank a glass of alcohol.
After Andor's departure, Brasso and their shared friend Bix Caleen were entrusted with the care of Andor's elderly mother. Ferrix, now under Imperial occupation, was not the same as before, and Brasso and the other Ferrix residents remained cautious of the stormtroopers and Imperial officers stationed in the town. Caleen was later apprehended and imprisoned by Imperial agents at Hotel Rix. On her deathbed, Maarva prerecorded a speech to be played at her funeral and instructed Brasso to deliver a message to her son upon his return.

Shortly after, Maarva passed away, and Brasso proceeded to assist the Daughters of Ferrix in their duties, requesting that B2EMO be present at the upcoming funeral. The droid, devastated by the loss of its owner and feeling lonely, was comforted by Brasso, who spent the night at the Andor household to provide solace to the grieving droid.
Upon Andor's return, Pegla made arrangements for him to meet with Brasso in a subterranean tunnel. There, he relayed Maarva's message to him, advising him against pursuing Bix and her captors and instead urging him to prioritize his own safety, but he was ultimately unsuccessful in dissuading him.

Brasso later took the lead in the funeral procession as a member of the Ferrix honor guard, carrying the funerary stone containing Maarva's remains down Rix Road. He was deeply moved by Maarva's eulogy, which made him fully aware of the true wickedness of the Empire that had taken over his home. As the Imperials' patience wore thin, Imperial officer Vanis Tigo tried to halt the speech and attacked B2EMO, who was broadcasting it using a holoprojector. This action was met with strong disapproval from Brasso and the assembled locals, who began to resist.
A riot broke out immediately, with Brasso and numerous others reacting violently, attacking Tigo and his escort and advancing on the barricade set up by the garrison. As the situation quickly spiraled out of control, Wilmon Paak, whose father Salman had been arrested by the Empire, launched an improvised explosive at the Imperial lines, triggering a series of explosions that resulted in many fatalities and transformed the riot into a bloody massacre. As stormtroopers started firing indiscriminately into the crowd, Brasso hurried to assist Paak, rescuing him from the grasp of Imperial forces. He subsequently fled off-world aboard a Breon Dayvan together with Wilmon, B2EMO, Caleen, who had been rescued by Andor, who had also returned for Maarva's funeral, and Jezzi.

Brasso was a robust, diligent male human characterized by his greying hair, green eyes, and light complexion. He shared a close bond with Cassian Andor and his adoptive family, including Maarva Andor and her droid Bee, with whom he had a particularly strong connection. Although he voiced his disapproval of his friend's dubious activities and unfortunate misadventures, he remained willing to lend a hand and provide false testimony on his behalf.
Brasso made his first appearance in "Kassa," the debut episode of Andor, which was broadcast on September 21, 2022. He was brought to life by Joplin Sibtain.
