The Consolidated Holdings of Preox-Morlana Corporation, often called the Pre-Mor Authority or Preox-Morlana for short, was a large business entity with its central operations located on the planet of Morlana One. This corporation existed within the Free Trade sector of the Outer Rim territories in the galaxy.
During the Imperial Era, it maintained an alliance with the Galactic Empire, receiving permission to use its own private security forces to maintain order in specific regions. However, in 5 BBY, following an incident that occurred on Ferrix, the Empire took over the Morlani system and subsequently dissolved Preox-Morlana.
Cassian Jeron Andor, while attempting to gather information regarding the whereabouts of his missing sister at a brothel situated in the Leisure Zone of Morlana One, found himself pursued into an alley by Corpos Verlo Skiff and Kravas Drezzer. An altercation ensued, resulting in the accidental death of Skiff and the intentional killing of Drezzer by Andor. Following this event, Andor escaped the planet aboard a Breon Dayvan transport.

Shortly after, Deputy Inspector Syril Karn commenced an investigation into the matter, compiling a report for his superior, Chief Inspector Hyne. Hyne, however, instructed Karn to abandon the investigation and instead fabricate a more favorable accident report. This was to minimize potential scrutiny from the Empire towards Preox-Morlana and to bolster the corporation's reputation. Subsequently, Hyne departed for the Imperial Regional Command to present a report on Preox-Morlana's crime statistics. Despite being ordered to cease the investigation and produce a fabricated accident report, Karn chose to persist in his investigation, utilizing various members of the Pre-Mor Security Inspection Team to locate the perpetrator. After analyzing starship data, Karn discovered that the suspect had traveled to Ferrix, a territory under Preox-Morlana's jurisdiction but lacking a significant Pre-Mor presence. He then instructed his subordinates to search the planet for a male of Kenari descent.
Driven by drunken jealousy, Timm Karlo informed Preox-Morlana about Andor, thereby alerting the Inspection Team to his criminal background. Karn brought in a woman from the brothel to identify the suspect. Later, he was visited by Sergeant Linus Mosk, who joined the investigation with a strong desire to assert the corporation's authority and capture Andor. Together, they assembled three Corpo teams, planning an ambush on Ferrix and designating the teams as East Team, North Team, and West Team. Following a lackluster speech from Karn, the Corpos were deployed from their personnel carrier in Mobile Tac-Pods.
Upon landing in different areas of the settlement, each team dispersed to cover more ground. West Team proceeded to serve a warrant, search the house of, and interrogate Maarva Andor, Cassian Andor's adoptive mother. From her, they learned of Andor's meeting location with Luthen Rael. As the Corpos attempted to corner Andor and Rael, a battle ensued, leading to a chase through the city. Additionally, the Corpos detained Bix Caleen, and North-3 killed Timm Karlo when he tried to approach them. Ultimately, the ambush failed, resulting in the deaths of several Corpos, the destruction of a Mobile Tac-Pod, and widespread civilian unrest.

In the aftermath of the incident, the Galactic Empire exploited the situation as justification to revoke the corporation's autonomy and dissolve Preox-Morlana. All employees received orders to surrender their comlinks, weapons, and scandocs to the Empire. Imperial Security Bureau Inspector Lieutenant Blevin reprimanded Mosk and Karn on Morlana One, informing them of their impending transfer to a processing center where they would receive their personal belongings. Blevin also instructed them to certify their confirmation of the official ISB After-action report detailing their involvement in the "Ferrix Incident." Karn was further relieved of his duties and left utterly humiliated by his superiors.
On Ferrix, the Imperial Security Bureau began clearing the damage caused by the fighting during the incident, and clearing out guests and furniture from a hotel, which the ISB had requisitioned as their new headquarters.
As Maarva's funeral procession was being planned, the Consolidated Holdings of Preox-Morlana Corporation was in the process of transitioning from private to state ownership. Some employees, including Linus Mosk's former partner who still worked the night desk at HQ, remained in their positions to assist with the transition.

The Consolidated Holdings of Preox-Morlana Corporation functioned as a corporate entity that enjoyed a certain degree of independence from the Galactic Empire, while still remaining ultimately subordinate to it. However, the Empire faced challenges when seeking warrants in areas under Preox-Morlana's control due to the corporation's complex structure.

The Preox-Morlana Authority managed all services for its employees, requiring them to carry identification cards at all times. This allowed private security forces to access their background information. Employees could file official complaints against the company through territorial forums once a month as part of employee engagement. However, the organization was aware that employees were too intimidated to do so, and even Pre-Mor Enforcement did not take the forums seriously.

Preox-Morlana maintained the Pre-Mor Authority Security Forces, which were Corporate Tactical Forces responsible for safeguarding its corporate assets throughout the Free Trade sector. As a component of the Corporate Tactical Forces, Pre-Mor Enforcement contributed to the overall defense of the Galactic Empire. It comprised officers and security personnel known as Corpos, often referred to as "Blues," and maintained numerous checkpoints across the sector.
The Pre-Mor Enforcement utilized armed personnel carriers and Mobile Tac-Pods to transport soldiers to various territories and star systems under Preox-Morlana's jurisdiction. Sergeant Linus Mosk of Pre-Mor Enforcement viewed Pre-Mor Enforcement and other Corporate Tactical Forces as the Galactic Empire's primary line of defense, advocating for a firmer approach towards the planets under Preox-Morlana's control.
The Pre-Mor Security Inspection team was a specialized operations unit composed of Pre-Mor officers and Corpos, deployable in emergency situations.
The company's logo, written in Aurebesh, featured a stylized vertical P and M, representing the corporation's initials.
Preox-Morlana governed the Free Trade sector under the supervision of the Galactic Empire, with its headquarters located on Morlana One and Four. It also operated several checkpoints throughout the sector. While Ferrix fell under Preox-Morlana's control, it was not regularly patrolled and was largely left to its own devices.
