Bilk

Bilk, a Gamorrean of the male persuasion, notable for his small, piercing eyes, served as a bodyguard for the Toydarian merchant Zippa in the years leading up to Palpatine's rise to power. Lorn Pavan famously described his odor as resembling 'a silage bin at high noon'.

Biography

At some point on or before 32 BBY, Bilk began his employment as a protector for the Toydarian merchant, Zippa.

In 32 BBY, Bilk was present at a meeting. This meeting involved Zippa, the information broker Lorn Pavan, and Pavan's associate, the protocol droid I-5YQ. The location was booth nine, a holobooth situated in the depths of Coruscant. During this meeting, the Toydarian attempted to sell Pavan a Sith holocron. Initially lurking in the shadows, Bilk emerged upon being introduced by his employer.

After slowly coming to the realization that I-5 had insulted him, Bilk's beady eyes narrowed, and he emitted a guttural rumble from his throat. He leaned menacingly towards the protocol droid. However, before he could act, Zippa intervened, stepping between them to calm his bodyguard. Demonstrating his loyalty to Zippa, Bilk reacted aggressively, attempting to attack Pavan when he grabbed the Toydarian by his fleeskin vest. He was stopped abruptly when I-5 directed a laser beam at him, scorching his scalp between his horns.

After Pavan threatened him, Zippa betrayed Pavan and I-5 after he eventually sold the holocron to them. When Zippa reclaimed the holocron and prepared to leave, instructing Bilk to deal with the two, Bilk had his blaster raised toward them. However, before Bilk could carry out his orders, I-5 used its vocabulator to produce a piercing scream that was painful to the Gamorrean's ears. While attempting to cover his ears with both hands, he dropped his blaster. I-5 ceased screaming, picked up the blaster, and aimed it at Bilk. The Gamorrean, either unaware or too enraged to care, snarled and charged at the droid and its partner. I-5 fired the blaster, the shot piercing Bilk's armored chest plate, passing through several internal organs, and exiting between his shoulder blades, resulting in his death on the floor.

Personality and traits

Consistent with the typical Gamorrean, Bilk possessed limited intelligence and reacted slowly to various situations, as evidenced by his delayed understanding of I-5YQ's insult. However, he displayed exceptional loyalty to Zippa, as demonstrated by his aggressive response to Lorn Pavan's threat towards him.
