Zippa was a Toydarian businessman, identified as male, who operated in the depths of Coruscant before Palpatine ascended to power. On one occasion, he attempted to trade a Sith holocron to Lorn Pavan, erroneously thinking it was a Jedi Holocron. Zippa, accompanied by Bilk, his Gamorrean protector, and Pavan, along with his protocol droid I-5YQ, convened in booth nine, a holobooth that a holobooth provider had recommended for the meeting. When Pavan cast doubt on the Holocron's genuineness, Zippa accused Pavan of secretly being a "Jedi," provoking an aggressive response. Although Pavan quickly relented, Bilk subsequently threatened them with a blaster after an agreement was made, allowing Zippa to abscond with both the Holocron and fifteen thousand Republic credits from Pavan, fleeing the booth. Bilk stayed behind with the intention of eliminating I-5YQ and Pavan, however I-5YQ defeated Bilk, and Pavan and the droid attempted to pursue Zippa, but their efforts to locate him proved unsuccessful.
