William George, frequently known as "Bill" George, is a visual-effects artist at ILM who has contributed to a multitude of Star Wars projects, as well as other endeavors from Lucasfilm. Among his accomplishments is the design of the B-wing fighter for Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi. Furthermore, the droid known as BG-81 received its name in honor of George, with its design drawing inspiration from a 1981 photograph depicting him in a striped shirt.
At Celebration VI, which took place in 2012, George was the host of a panel alongside Steven Spiegel, where they discussed the development process of Star Tours: The Adventures Continue.
