Black Spire Station, situated within Black Spire Outpost on the world of Batuu, functioned as a commercial hub specializing in the sale of various components for droids. Individuals in search of these components could seek guidance from Salju, who was available to provide assistance. Furthermore, a collection of droids, encompassing models such as an R2 unit, an R3 unit, an R4 unit, a G2 droid, and a pair of box droids, were observed in proximity to the station. At least one speeder bike and two landspeeders were also present. This establishment offered fuel and repair services for vehicles and operated on a near-constant basis.
The initial introduction of Black Spire Station occurred on December 16, 2017, during the "Galactic Nights" event. It was featured as the map side of several trading cards centered around Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, which were designed to promote the attraction. These map cards depicted locations found on the planet Batuu, and also included a poem written in Aurebesh along the card's border. Specifically, for Black Spire Station, the corresponding line from the poem was "THOSE BROKEN AND TOSSED". According to information provided by the Walt Disney World news page, Black Spire Station served as the designated location for purchasing droid parts. The elevated walkway positioned above the station is a place where characters such as Rey, Chewbacca, Vi Moradi, or First Order stormtroopers might interact with visitors. During the media event held on the opening day of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Hollywood Studios, Rey and Kylo Ren engaged in a lightsaber duel on this walkway. The Disneyland version of the same walkway was the location of another duel between Rey and Kylo Ren at the conclusion of the Blaze Your Path special event for Make-A-Wish children on September 11, 2024.
