Cover of Star Wars 3-D 1 Blackthorne Comics, also known as Blackthorne Publishing, was a smaller, independent publisher of comic books. They were recognized for creating comics that adapted well-known licensed properties, including Robotech, Transformers, and G.I. Joe. Blackthorne published three comic books in the Star Wars 3-D series. Although a fourth, fifth, and sixth issue were planned and even begun, they were never completed. Issue #6, one of the canceled comics, was intended to focus on the "Spies of Botha." As of now, these comics are the only Star Wars comics that have been created in 3-D.
