Blaise was a male who belonged to the Believers, a Sith-devoted cult during the final years of the Galactic Republic. Around the time of 31 BBY, Blaise participated with other Believers in the theft of a Mandalorian iron box from the planet of Coruscant. The cultists thought this box contained a powerful Sith artifact. As they escaped with what they believed to be their prize, the Believers' speeder crashed within the Coruscant undercity, leaving Blaise with severe injuries.
During the last years of the Galactic Republic, Blaise was a male. He was a member of the Believers, a Sith-worshipping cult that was active in the Cularin system, and he underwent brainwashing to embrace the sect's beliefs. Around 31 BBY, the Believers plotted to steal the Pulas, a strong Sith artifact. The Jedi Order was transporting this artifact to Coruscant. Blaise joined a team of Believers tasked with stealing the artifact upon its arrival, chosen for his technical abilities. The cultists ambushed a starship at a Coruscant landing platform, believing it carried the Pulas. They shot Nysis Belzara, a Bothan Jedi Knight, and disabled the ship's crew, although Blaise did not participate in the attack. Blaise and the other Believers then seized a Mandalorian iron box, which they thought contained the Pulas but was actually a decoy planted by the Jedi, and fled in a speeder.
The cultists intended to transport the stolen box to a secret base located in the Coruscant undercity. However, a group of spacers assisting the Jedi with the Pulas's transport tracked the Believers, leading to a speeder chase. The chase ended when the Believers' speeder crashed into a building in the Coruscant undercity. Blaise survived the crash but was severely injured, struggling to breathe and with burns covering his face. The other cultists abandoned Blaise at the crash site and fled.
The spacers, allied with the Jedi, arrived at the wrecked speeder and provided Blaise with basic medical care. After some persuasion, the cultist revealed the location of the secret base where the Believers were taking the stolen Mandalorian iron box.
Blaise was brainwashed during his time with the Believers and came to support the cult's doctrines that the Force, an energy field that bound the galaxy together, was something that could be used however one wish. He also viewed all beings who were not part of the cult as gravely evil and as a result he did not expect any non-Believers to come to his aid when he was injured a speeder crash on Coruscant. Despite his commitment to the cause of the Believers, Blaise was innocent and non-violent at heart.
Blaise wore a black jumpsuit during the mission to steal the Pulas and carried a deluxe security kit without a permit.
Blaise was created by Morrie Mullins and appeared in Coruscani Dawn, a 2002 roleplaying adventure within the Living Force campaign. In Coruscani Dawn, players assume the roles of the spacers who pursue the Believers through the Coruscant undercity, and they have the option to provide medical assistance to Blaise. If they revive him, the player characters can coerce him, either through persuasion or a Jedi mind trick, into revealing the location of the Believers' hideout. If taken prisoner by the spacers, Blaise refuses to leave the speeder wreckage but agrees to be tied up and left in the spacers' vehicle. If the players do not stabilize Blaise's condition the cultist dies at the crash site from his injuries sustained in the collision.
