Bobek was an individual of the male gender, a Dubravan native to the world of Dubrava.
With aspirations of joining the Rebel Alliance, Bobek arranged a meeting with Jal Te Gniev inside a local drinking establishment, a bar. In a state of inebriation and anger, Gniev proceeded to blindfold Bobek, then directed him to walk across a concealed trapdoor situated on the boardwalk near the cantina, causing Bobek to fall into the murky swamp waters below. Deeply disheartened by this cruel action, Bobek returned home in tears.
As Darth Vader initiated his search for Luke Skywalker, the Imperial forces on Dubrava began to assert their dominance, and the presence of a Rebel pilot on Dubrava became widely known. A violent exchange of gunfire erupted, and the stormtroopers deliberately set the cantina ablaze, with the intention of incinerating all those inside. Gniev was successful in his escape from the carnage, only to be confronted by a pair of stormtroopers. Arriving at the critical moment, Bobek intervened, eliminating one of the troopers, but tragically, he was mortally wounded by the other. Gniev retaliated by drowning the remaining trooper and then returned to Bobek's side. Bobek then confessed that he had purchased the blaster with the intent to kill Gniev.
Bobek's courageous and selfless act of resistance against the Imperial soldiers served as an inspiration for Gniev, prompting him to reassess his objectives and ultimately rescue Skywalker from Vader on the world of Jazbina.
