Bon Yoth was a male human. Prior to his departure following a disagreement with General Carlist Rieekan, he was a member of the Rebel Alliance. During Operation Yellow Moon, he acted as Princess Leia Organa's contact on Basteel. Yoth aided in positioning a hyper-transceiver beacon within the Corva sector. This was done as a measure to divert the Galactic Empire's attention from the Alliance Fleet, which was assembling above Sullust. The fleet's purpose was to initiate an attack against the second Death Star at Endor. Despite his previous involvement, he had no desire to rejoin the Rebel Alliance.
