Bramble lynx were a type of species that inhabited the planet of Dathomir. Dathomirian Nightsister Merrin noted that these creatures began their lives at a small size, a fact she claimed was not widely known. These animals could be trained as pets to tear objects apart, defend their owners no matter what, and even kill; Merrin jokingly referred to these traits as "very cute." Before General Grievous and his Separatist Droid Army massacred her Nightsister clan in 20 BBY, she owned a bramble lynx named Teeno, but she lost track of Teeno following the massacre.
