First Lieutenant Brazack was a male individual who held the position of commanding officer for Second Platoon, B Company, within the Imperial Army's Imperial Special Operations Ghost Battalion during the era of the Galactic Civil War. In contrast to the vast majority of officers in the Battalion, he did not graduate from the Imperial Academy located on Carida; instead, he was an enlisted soldier who was promoted in the field after a battle in which all of his unit's officers perished. Subsequently, he was promoted to the rank of first lieutenant after an action that resulted in four posthumous Medals of Valor being awarded to other members of his unit.
In the year 1 BBY, he spearheaded the operation to abduct Morgan Katarn, while disguised as Rebel volunteers. Prior to the commencement of the mission, he formally registered a complaint, expressing concern that the unit's inadequate disguise could potentially jeopardize the mission's success; specifically, he noted the team's composition of solely Human members, as well as the standard-issue weaponry, which clashed with their mismatched attire and armor.
His team boarded a captured Corellian light freighter, which was disguised as one of the Alliance's commerce vessels, and launched from Jerec's Vengeance Imperial-class Star Destroyer en route to Sulon. Brazack's team infiltrated the Katarn homestead, and as Brazack attempted to enter the workshop, the droid known as WeeGee hurled a mechanism at him; however, it was insufficient to cause any harm through his armor. The droid was quickly neutralized, and after failing to locate Katarn, the team set the house ablaze before departing.
Brazack reported their lack of success to Captain Thrawn, suggesting that their target may have left the area on an errand of some kind. In response, Jerec provided them with another "opportunity" to attempt the mission again and succeed. Jerec initiated a significant assault, and Brazack found himself once again aboard Vester's ship, which transported them to the Geothermal tap held by the Rebels. Although they attempted to strike the ship with a SLM, Vester managed to land successfully, and Brazack's commandos proceeded to massacre the defenders.
Brazack cultivated a strong bond with his soldiers, who affectionately referred to him as "boss." This close relationship, along with his background, contributed to the resentment he faced from many of his fellow officers.
Similar to many infantry officers, he disliked the defensive posture that exposed the ship's underside to enemy fire, and he intended to teach Vester a lesson for employing this tactic during the battle of the G-Tap.
