Brelor, a satellite orbiting the world of Commenor, became the retirement residence of Jan Dodonna when the Galactic Empire gifted it to him. Simultaneously, the Empire's intelligence arm, COMPNOR, plotted to murder him, though Mon Mothma forewarned Jan. He managed to evade the assassination attempt, and subsequently, both Jan and his offspring, Vrad Dodonna, enlisted in the Rebel Alliance.
