Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, featured the buzz-knuck in the 2003 video game before its shutdown on December 15, 2011. Introduced with "Game Update 10" on June 2, 2009, the buzz-knuck was given as a reward for triumphing in the player versus player "battlefields."
