The C-8 life support system, also known as the C-8 life-support system, or just the C-8 unit, represented a life-sustaining apparatus. This system was produced by Corellstand and found its placement within the Number Two Hold of YT-1300 light freighters. Its design allowed for uncomplicated reconfiguration to accommodate various pressurized gases, or it could be powered down to save power when utilized by exclusively droid crews. A prime example of a vessel equipped with this system was the Millennium Falcon, as it was a common feature on YT-1300 light freighters.
