Carrick Station

Carrick Station, previously identified as Outpost 22, represented a substantial space station constructed in orbit around a planet situated within the Core Worlds of the Galactic Republic during the era of the Cold War. It received its designation in honor of Zayne Carrick, a former Jedi Padawan.

The primary operational base for the Republic Fleet was Carrick Station, which also served as the central interchange for transport shuttles ferrying Republic troops and Jedi to and from Coruscant, the Republic's capital, Tython, the Jedi's place of sanctuary, or Ord Mantell, a world ravaged by conflict. Moreover, it functioned as the central command for Task Force Nova.

A Republic fleet, comprising at least three Valor-class cruisers, four Thranta-class corvettes, several Wanderer-class transports, and vessels of another, unspecified class, maintained constant vigilance over Carrick Station. During the Cold War, the First Expeditionary Fleet of the Republic was based at Carrick Station.

Behind the scenes

The rationale behind the station's naming in honor of Carrick remains unclear, with John Jackson Miller asserting that the general populace was unaware of any commendable actions undertaken by Zayne, aside from his Swoop Dueling exploits.
