Cave beetles were six-legged insects inhabiting the caves found on Tatooine. Porcellus, the cook, utilized the remains of both rock beetle and cave beetle to prepare beetle broth for his employer, Jabba Desilijic Tiure.
These cave beetles were featured in the video game Star Wars Galaxies released in 2003. This massively multiplayer online roleplaying game was created by Sony Online Entertainment and distributed by LucasArts, before its servers were shut down on December 15, 2011. The appearance of cave beetles was nearly indistinguishable from rockmites, rock beetles, sand beetles, and dune beetles, as they all shared the same fundamental model but had unique textures.
