Chain Sickle
A Chain Sickle represented a melee weapon employed by the Dathomiri Nightsisters and their Nightbrothers counterparts, both hailing from the planet of Dathomir.
Description
This deadly weapon, designed for two-handed use, incorporated a sharply honed, scythe-shaped blade. This blade was connected via a lengthy, pliable cord to a cylindrical grip. A secondary handhold was situated roughly a third of the distance separating the main handle from the blade itself. The segment of cord between this secondary grip and the blade featured a covering of diminutive, pointed spikes.
History
During the Clone Wars conflict, the Nightsister Asajj Ventress made her way to the Nightbrother village located on Dathomir. Her purpose was to participate in the Selection process, aimed at identifying a champion from the ranks of the Nightbrothers. During the second of the three trials, Ventress made use of a Chain Sickle in combat against four Nightbrothers.
Subsequently, as part of their investigation into the origins of Savage Opress, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker journeyed to Dathomir. Upon their shuttle's arrival at the Nightbrothers' village, the Jedi exited their craft and were quickly encircled by a group of Nightbrothers shortly after venturing into the village. One of these Nightbrothers, part of the attacking group, was seen brandishing a Chain Sickle.
