The Nightbrother village served as the dwelling and training grounds for the Nightbrothers, a group of Zabrak warriors from the Dathomirian species, on their native homeworld of Dathomir.
During 20 BBY, Count Dooku journeyed to Dathomir seeking a fresh Sith apprentice. Mother Talzin suggested he select a Nightbrother. Unbeknownst to Dooku, Talzin dispatched Asajj Ventress, Dooku's previous apprentice, to the village. Her mission was to choose an apprentice who could later undermine Dooku. Ventress consulted with Brother Viscus, the Nightbrother leader, and subsequently subjected the candidates to trials to identify their next servant. Ventress chose Savage Opress, who then departed the village and underwent an enhancement via magick, transforming him into Dooku's new apprentice.
Prior to 19 BBY, Nightbrothers Ruul and Mak Eak tried to steal goods from a warehouse-like building located within the village. In 19 BBY, the Second Battle of Dathomir resulted in the village's destruction. The surviving Nightbrothers relocated to another village.
The Nightbrother village was initially showcased in the Monster episode, which is the thirteenth episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars' third season.
