During the time of the Clone Wars, Cham Syndulla, a General and the head of the Twi'lek Resistance, used a command outpost as his base of operations. This outpost was located within a cave that was cleverly concealed within the vast canyon systems of Ryloth, making it hard to locate and ensuring it remained a secret from the Separatists who had occupied the planet. Once the war concluded and the Galactic Empire was formed, Hera, Cham's daughter, sought refuge at this same outpost with her astromech droid, Chopper, after her parents were arrested by the Empire. Enlisting the assistance of her newfound ally Omega to launch a rescue mission, Hera arranged for Omega and Clone Force 99 to convene with her at the outpost.
