For many centuries, Maz's castle had Strono Tuggs as its culinary expert.
The job of preparing food was held by a cook or chef. On Coruscant, Dexter Jettster, who owned Dex's Diner, cooked meals for his patrons. Strono Tuggs, an Artiodac of the male variety, worked as a chef at Takodana Castle, and a similar Artiodac chef was part of the crew of a young smuggler. A human chef was known to be operating within the Haven, which was a sanctuary for vulnerable people established by the Spectres.
