During the Galactic Civil War's peak, a Human female named Chertyl Ruluwoor called the planet of Corellia her home. Ruluwoor's task was to construct a solid case against a group of terrorists relentlessly targeting Selonian settlements on Corellia. Despite her efforts, progress was slow, and even after the significant Battle of Yavin, she hadn't definitively identified the perpetrators of these attacks.
Fate intervened when Kafleer Tredahl, a young and inexperienced holocam operator, inadvertently recorded the terrorists' activities. Tredahl offered the footage to Ruluwoor, requesting that she personally retrieve it. However, complications arose as Tredahl suspected he was under surveillance by the anti-Selonian faction. Ruluwoor employed a passing spacer to collect the recording. Once the recording was in her possession, the terrorists retaliated by abducting Tredahl's mother. Ruluwoor once more enlisted the spacer's assistance, who successfully rescued Zayna Tredahl and neutralized the kidnappers.
Chertyl Ruluwoor, a Human female, possessed a build that was reasonably slim and a height considered average for her species. Her sartorial choices often involved ornate garments, such as lengthy skirts, scarves, and gloves, irrespective of the prevailing weather or time of day.
Following the destruction of the first Death Star in the wake of the Battle of Yavin, Ruluwoor established her residence in Kor Vella, a city situated on the planet of Corellia. Kor Vella thrived as a tourist destination, and Ruluwoor was commonly seen at the Kor Vella Hotel, specifically in the eastern section of the city. She often stood around in a multi-purpose hotel hall, along with several other Corellian residents.
Eventually, Chertyl Ruluwoor began working to protect the interests of the Selonians, another mammalian species indigenous to the Corellian system. Numerous Selonian settlements on Corellia became the targets of unlawful terrorist actions, prompting Ruluwoor to take action to stop them. Her goal was to uncover the identity of those responsible, with the intention of catching them in the act to secure adequate evidence for prosecution.
However, her efforts were not proving very fruitful. She eventually experienced a stroke of good luck and a chance to discover the identity of the perpetrators behind the attacks and ensure they faced justice. An amateur Twi'lek holocam operator, known as Kafleer Tredahl, managed to capture a recording that had the potential to identify and incriminate those involved in the demonstrations. Kafleer Tredahl decided to inform Ruluwoor and furnish her with the recording, but certain challenges emerged: the terrorists had caught wind of Tredahl and were monitoring him, rendering any potential exchanges exceedingly difficult. Nevertheless, he reached out to Chertyl Ruluwoor, informing her of his discovery and providing the precise location where she could retrieve the tape.
Ruluwoor remained mindful of the inherent risks, and therefore decided against personally retrieving the recording. She was resolute in her determination to bring the culprits to justice, and thus sought someone to collect Tredahl's recording, offering a remuneration of three hundred credits upon successful completion. A spacer who was passing through the area accepted her proposition, agreeing to collect the recording and return it to Ruluwoor in exchange for the offered credits.
Ruluwoor did, however, caution the spacer, informing the being that Tredahl was under surveillance and requesting that the spacer exercise extreme caution when returning the recording, as it held significant value for her. The spacer remained unfazed by her warnings, and proceeded towards Tredahl. While the traveler was en route, Ruluwoor contacted the young holocam operator, informing him to anticipate the spacer's arrival.
Her concerns proved to be unwarranted, as the spacer performed admirably and returned to Chertyl Ruluwoor near the Kor Vella Hotel unscathed, with the recording securely in hand. It was precisely as Tredahl had described; the recording clearly identified those responsible for the attacks on the Selonian dens and would contribute significantly to Ruluwoor's efforts to bring them to justice. Pleased to have finally made some progress in the pursuit, Ruluwoor expressed her sincere gratitude to the spacer and arranged for the promised three hundred credits to be transferred to the traveler's account.
The situation soon took a turn for the worse, as the terrorists retaliated. Those she had been investigating abducted Kafleer Tredahl's mother, Zayna. Kafleer informed Ruluwoor of this development, but Chertyl was hesitant to undertake a rescue mission, fearing that it might escalate tensions between anti- and pro-Selonian factions on Corellia. Instead, she managed to locate the spacer who had previously assisted her, offering the being five hundred credits to secure Zayna's release and return her to Ruluwoor unharmed. She instructed the spacer to take whatever measures were necessary against the terrorists, expressing indifference to their fate as long as Zayna was safely returned.
The spacer concurred; Ruluwoor had been sent a recording—once again captured by Kafleer Tredahl—which had caught the men in the act. The young aspiring holocam recorder had followed them, and sent the coordinates of their location to Ruluwoor. The spacer hurried after them, and returned victorious. Every single one of the kidnappers had been killed by the being, though Ruluwoor did not mind; she was just happy the whole ordeal was over, and that the terrorists' attacks on the Selonian dens would cease. She once again thanked the spacer who had assisted her so much, handing over five hundred credits, as per the prior agreement.
Chertyl Ruluwoor was characterized by her unwavering determination, and even when faced with overwhelming odds, she persevered in pursuing what she believed to be just. She also possessed a kind nature and readily extended assistance to those in need, even when not obligated to do so. Ruluwoor exhibited a lively and generous disposition at times, and she showered the spacer who aided her in bringing the anti-Selonian terrorists to justice with effusive praise. Ruluwoor had brown hair and eyes and light skin.
Chertyl Ruluwoor's sole appearance occurs in Star Wars Galaxies, a Star Wars massively multiplayer online role-playing game designed for the personal computer. She functions as a non-player character, presenting players with two missions through which they can earn in-game currency for purchasing various in-game items. Participation in Ruluwoor's quests is optional for the player, although this article assumes complete fulfillment of Galaxies.
Chertyl Ruluwoor shares her name with a female Selonian who was mentioned in X-Wing: Wedge's Gamble.
