Chief curator is the title that Mitth'raw'nuruodo, a Senior Captain of the Chiss known by his core name "Thrawn," asserted he possessed in 19 BBY when he was traveling in disguise on Primea, the homeworld of the Vak Combine. The Chiss officer was impersonating "Artistic Master Svorno," the leading curator for the Nunech Art Collection.
The chief curator role was introduced in the 2020 book Thrawn Ascendancy: Chaos Rising, which is the first book in Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy by Timothy Zahn.
