The Chistori represented a sentient species of saurian descent. They were renowned as formidable combatants, and their independent nature shielded them from the Jedi's recorded history.
Chistori possessed prominent muzzles, complete with a hinged lower jaw containing numerous teeth, and comparatively small eyes. Their physique was both agile and powerful. In common with numerous reptilian species, they were cold-blooded, and akin to the Trandoshans, they had a resilient epidermis composed of dense scales.
The Chistori were characterized by their impatience, irascibility, and proneness to outbursts of anger. They frequently turned to violence as a solution, demonstrating a lack of regard for structured discipline and order. The Chistori had no understanding of the Force, either in the manner understood by the Jedi or as a component of their local spiritual beliefs. Consequently, the rare individuals within the species who exhibited Force-sensitivity were met with fear and persecution by other Chistori.
A Chistori of significance was Cydon Prax, who served as the principal lieutenant to Count Dooku during the Dark Reaper crisis within the period of the Clone Wars. Another Chistori of note was the Dark Jedi Desann, who aligned himself with the Empire Reborn. Numerous other Chistori across the galaxy found employment as bounty hunters, soldiers, and assassins.
Jedi Master Dass Jennir encountered and engaged in combat with a Chistori bounty hunter on the planet of Cato Neimoidia.
