On Metellos 3, he orchestrated auctions on behalf of Plaarvin, during which Marn Hierogryph, operating under the assumed identity of "Professor Gryphomarn," endeavored to execute a con, enlisting Jarael and Rohlan Dyre as collaborators. Plaarvin, having discerned the deception, apprehended Jarael and Rohlan and scheduled their execution. Cipiter conveyed his profound sorrow to Jarael, acknowledging his inability to defy his master due to his status as a Chev slave. Subsequently, Marn Hierogryph, accompanied by his associate Zayne Carrick, launched a subsequent con, this time aimed at rescuing their companions. By disguising Slyssk as a representative of the Raff Syndicate, they deceived Plaarvin into believing that the Syndicate was aware of his clandestine withholding of profits. Subsequently, they dispatched him to a purported "rendezvous" with the Syndicate on the planet Jebble, unaware that it had been devastated some time prior. Hierogryph, gesturing towards Cipiter and the other Chevs, declared their newfound freedom and proposed that they continue managing operations for the Syndicate, a proposition they accepted.
