On the icy continent of Eshkrene, situated on the planet Kesh, a small city was home to The Doomed. This group was comprised of descendants from both Jedi and Dark Jedi. Within their city, they secretly guarded the oubliette that held the body of the Sith Lord Remulus Dreypa in suspended animation. Additionally, the city contained an stable for the Doomed's livestock, which included various animals native to Kesh.
Following the Great Calamity, which itself came after the Hundred-Year Darkness, the Jedi and Dark Jedi reconciled and constructed the City of the Doomed. For four millennia, they dwelled there, maintaining a watchful eye over both the Keshiri and the Lost Tribe of Sith. In 2974 BBY, an expedition from the Lost Tribe, including several Alanciari Keshiri and the two Sith Parlan Spinner and Takara Hilts, arrived at the city. Spinner absconded with Dreypa's oubliette, reviving the ancient Sith Lord, who then instigated an uprising against the Tribe on Keshtah Minor. Simultaneously, Kaliska, the leader of the Doomed, and Takara Hilts returned to the City of the Doomed, mobilizing the entire community on a herd of uvaks to Keshtah in an attempt to thwart Dreypa. Every member of the Doomed community perished during the Battle of Sessal Spire.
However, Dreypa's defeat occurred at the Siege of Tahv. After Dreypa's downfall, Grand Lord Varner Hilts dispatched a second exploratory team to the City of the Doomed. They discovered only ruins, as the structures had been held together solely by the collective Force will of the Doomed.
