The Clatear, a species of sentient humanoids, possessed a defining characteristic: horned heads. Their conflict with the neighboring Nhoras had persisted from around 580 BBY. These two species inhabited a sector likely located in proximity to Cilpar.
For a span of five generations, the Jedi Order endeavored to resolve the dispute, but their efforts proved futile. However, the conflict was temporarily halted when the Galactic Empire seized control of their homeworld. Following the Imperials' withdrawal, the Clatear found themselves in possession of a heavily armed military. During the tensions surrounding the Caamas Document, the Clatear and Nhoras, perceiving the New Republic's non-interventionist stance on regional disputes, initiated preparations to resume open hostilities.
