Following the Battle of Yavin and during the time of the Galactic Civil War, reproductions of a piece of art known as Clone Wars Painting were circulating in the galaxy. The artwork portrayed a clone trooper's helmeted face—one of the many soldiers serving the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars—wearing phase I clone trooper armor. The landscape behind the trooper, who was positioned slightly off-center, included an orange colored sky and mountain range. The original painting was requested by the Ithorian scientist and also doctor Farnsworth, who gave it as a reward to a spacer that assisted him in retrieving survey information from markers placed around the planet Kashyyyk. In another instance, a copy of the painting was given to a spacer for eliminating twelve snorbals, a species native to the planet Lok, as a challenge set by the Rodian hunter Qakkee.
The image of a clone trooper painting made an appearance in the video game Star Wars Galaxies by Sony Online Entertainment, which was released in 2003 and shut down on December 15, 2011. It was introduced to the game in 2005 within the Rage of the Wookiees expansion as one of the numerous new quest rewards available. Specifically, the painting served as a reward within a section of the extensive quest line known as the "Clone Relics" and also from the "Collecting Survey Data" quest. It was simply referred to as "Clone Wars Painting" within the game, sharing the same name as a similar painting depicting General Grievous.
