Copies of an artwork from the past, known as Clone Wars Painting, were distributed throughout the galaxy sometime after the Battle of Yavin during the time of the Galactic Civil War. This artwork showed the visage of General Grievous, the cyborg who held the title of Supreme Commander for the Droid Army belonging to the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. One such copy was given as a prize to a spacer after they successfully eliminated a dangerous rancor from the planet of Dathomir, a challenge set forth by the Rodian bounty hunter Qakkee. Additionally, Ysith, a Trandoshan slaver residing on Kashyyyk, also presented a copy of this painting to a spacer who aided her in killing a rival Trandoshan named Myssith.
The Grievous painting makes an appearance in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, which was developed by Sony Online Entertainment. It was integrated into the game in 2005 as a part of the Rage of the Wookiees expansion. It served as one of the various new rewards for completing quests. To be more precise, the painting acts as a reward from a section of the extended series of missions referred to as the "Clone Relics", as well as the "Trandoshan Slavers" mission chain. Within the game, it is simply labeled as "Clone Wars Painting", sharing this name with another painting that features a clone trooper.
