Colin Trevorrow, a filmmaker from the United States, is most famous for his directorial work on the 2015 movie Jurassic World and the 2012 film Safety Not Guaranteed.
Originally, he was slated to direct Star Wars: Episode IX. However, on September 5, 2017, the announcement came that he had departed from the project. The finished film, Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker, lists Trevorrow as a co-writer of the story alongside Derek Connolly, J.J. Abrams (who also served as director), and Chris Terrio. He mentioned to Empire magazine his intention to donate his share of the film's profits to the Alexander Devine Children's Hospice located in Berkshire. (A representative from the organization stated it was "the equivalent of paying for a nurse for a year.") Trevorrow also contributed to the sequel trilogy by suggesting that Rian Johnson include a scene in Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi where Poe Dameron and Rey meet for the first time.
